Last paycheck and unpaid wages /
benefits
Our firm handles what many lawyers refer
to as “last paycheck” cases and other actions involving
unpaid wages, commissions, or bonuses.
“Last paycheck” cases are exactly what the term suggests:
cases where an employer fails to pay a departing or
terminated employee his or her last paycheck. As you might
guess, this is illegal and unfair to the employee who was
relying on that paycheck. This situation occurs all too
frequently and often involves an unscrupulous employer who
is either upset at the employee for some reason or simply
chooses not to pay the employee his or her last paycheck as
a cost-saving measure. Whatever the reason, failure to pay
a last paycheck or other owed wages violates the
law.
