Dion J. Cassata is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the employment law practice section of the Broward County Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and in federal court before the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida, as well as before the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Cassata grew up in Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Law in Champaign-Urbana.
Prior to attending law school, he worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Additionally, Mr. Cassata has served as an adjunct professor at both the University of Illinois (speech communication, 2002) and Florida International University (journalism, 2005). He currently resides in Fort
Lauderdale with his wife, two children and sweet, but rambunctious black labrador.
Mr. Cassata and his wife, Heather (who works in the pediatric oncology field), are active in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and other charitable organizations.
Mr. Cassata was nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2011 Man of the Year Award for Broward County.
